What Information do we collect?

When you register your pet, whether it be in person, over the phone or via an online form, we will collect details which help us provide the services we offer. These details include name, telephone number, email address and pets details. The reason that we collect these details is to help us;

  • Register your details as a new client or update existing records

  • Book appointments and process payments

  • Contact you about your pet or your account

  • Respond to customer service enquires

  • Deliver a safe and secure service by helping to prevent and detect fraud. We may need to disclose information to assist legal or debt recovery processes

  • Send mailshots that are relevant to the care of your pet, i.e vaccination booster reminders

CCTV and Audio recording: Spring Corner is dedicated to the improvement of clinical and customer care. We digitally record images and audio to assist with staff training and for the safety of pets, clients and staff and the monitoring of the security of premises. 

 

Protecting your information.

We endeavour to protect your information by keeping keeping the information we hold up to date and accurate. If your details change then please inform us. Your details are stored on our secure practice management system, Vetspace. By providing us with the information you are agreeing to the storage and processing of this information.

We have strict security procedures in place for the storage and disclosure of your information and our staff are trained as such.
We never hold copies of credit card numbers and comply with the PCI DSS to protect ourclients.

To ensure that your credit or debit card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to these checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information.This is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Act.

Your rights

As a client of our services, you understand and agree that personal information you provide will be held on a database operated by us and we will contact you about your pet’s treatment using your preferred method of communication. 

  • You have the right to access information held about you. If you wish to see a copy of your data, please contact us. We will provide this data a maximum of 10 days after request.

  • You have the right to request the movement of your data from one surgery to another. We will only transfer data to another surgery with your consent.

  • The accuracy of your information is important to us. If you change email address, or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please let us know.

  • We will only send you direct marketing communications by email, phone or text message about new products and services if you have consented to receive them. We will ask you to confirm your consent to receive direct marketing when you first register with us.
